Ideal for experienced clients that need little to no modifications. *Instructor Approval Req.

Mat vs Reformer Pilates

Both forms of Pilates are effective and offer different benefits. Mat Pilates is a workout done entirely on a mat, using body weight resistance and small props. Reformer Pilates uses a special piece of equipment that offers more variability. The resistance of the machine challenges the body in a different way and can help build strength, improve balance, and increase flexibility.

Benefits of Pilates

  • Core strength: Every exercise involves strengthening the abdominals correctly for maximum results.
  • Flexibility: Incorporates stretching and lengthening movements, which can help increase overall flexibility and range of motion in the joints.
  • Posture: Emphasizes proper alignment and posture, which can lengthen the spine and reduce the risk of back pain or injury.
  • Mind-body connection: Creates body awareness by focusing on breath, concentration, and precision during movement.
  • Reduced stress: Pilates emphasizes controlled movements and deep breathing, which can help reduce stress and promote relaxation.

How often should I do Pilates to see results?

Consistency is key in your Pilates practice. Even one session per week can provide benefits, as long as it’s consistent and done with proper form and technique. It’s also important to listen to your body and not overdo it, as Pilates can be challenging. It’s important to allow time for rest and recovery between sessions.

Beginner: 1-2 days per week

Beginner-Intermediate: 2-3 days per week

Intermediate/Advanced: 3-6 days per week.

How does the waitlist work?

Add yourself to a waitlist to be next in line for class. If a spot becomes available, we will notify you by email or text message. Make sure your notification settings are turned on. You will be automatically added in up until 1 hour before the start of class. Please take yourself off of the waitlist if you do not wish to attend the class. If you are added into class (even overnight) we’re assuming you are going to attend, We highly encourage checking utilizing the waitlist and checking same day openings. Classes become available frequently and these systems create a higher chance to get in.
